How about some guidance for plain old HTML

Oct 4, 2009 at 6:23 PM

All, is it possible to use this control for regular HTML? Is there a better control for that? I really don't care very much about the formatting, but the links are critical. I found the HtmlTextBlock, but that does not render links...

I am using the control in Silverlight 3 if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

Matthew, it is possible, but you have to write the regular expression that matches HTML tags. Otherwise you can try other controls like Telerik RadHtmlPlaceHolder http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#HtmlPlaceholder/FirstLook, RadEditor http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#Editor/FirstLook or C1 RichTextBox http://demo.componentone.com/Silverlight/ControlExplorer/#C1RichTextBox/See%20it%20in%20action!

Thanks Emil,

Has anyone done it or have a sample. RegEx and my brain are not entirely compatible.

Thanks!
